Sixteen Decorah High School students have been selected as members of the 2024 All-State Music Festival, following auditions in late October. The weekend festival is Nov. 22 and 23 on the Iowa State University campus in Ames.
Directors said 50 DHS students prepared difficult musical selections and then competed for spots in the All-State ensembles with students from East Central and Northeast Iowa, including Dubuque and Cedar Rapids area schools. The auditions were at Independence High School Oct. 26.
The 16 students selected as members of the 2024 ensembles include:

The concert will be broadcast on Iowa PBS on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. This program is under the auspices of the Iowa High School Music Association and the Iowa Music Educators Association.
