ArtHaus in Decorah celebrates 15 years of operation this year.
In honor of the history and impact within the area, the community is invited to attend a grown-up carnival-style birthday party to be hosted by ArtHaus on May 6 from 7 to 10 p.m.
The event includes opportunities to engage in a variety of activities including duck pond, pin the ear on Van Gogh, glazing ceramics, Cake/Wine/Whiskey Walk, mini golf, silent auction, smash room, and more. A youth party is available at Decorah Lutheran (details available on eventbrite).
For a portion of the night, attendees will have the opportunity to watch ceramic artists compete in a pottery throwdown featuring a number of exciting challenges that will put their skills to the ultimate test. Challenges will include number of pots thrown in 5 minutes, tallest cylinder blind folded and more.
The event is free to the public and carnival tickets can be purchased at the door for $2 a ticket or discounted in advance on Eventbrite.
A silent auction is online live at www.32auctions.com/15years and features many items from local businesses, including a private concert with Lissie for 30 friends, an e-bike, music festival tickets, and much more.
