Bluffton Rd. closed to through traffic for resurfacing

Construction will begin on Monday, August 2.

Construction will begin on Monday, August 2, on the Bluffton Road, Co. Rd. W20 starting on the south end.

Holland Construction will begin milling the existing road surface and laying it back in-place as a crushed-rock like surface that you can drive on.  The operation will begin just north of the Pole Line Road at the north end of the bridge over the Upper Iowa River on the Bluffton Road.  The construction crew will start around 7 a.m. milling the center 8 feet of road for the first pass and will then make two more passes, one for each lane.

The road will be closed to thru traffic, but local traffic will be allowed to pass around the moving construction operation.  For the first day or two construction will be between the Pole Line Road and the bridge at Malanaphy Springs.  Crews will then be progressing north and a grading crew from Bruening’s will follow the milling crew.  Please allow for extra time during your commute.  Drive safely and watch for construction signs, equipment, and flaggers.
