Bowling fundraiser for memorial scholarship a success

Over $16,000 raised for Karter Einck Memorial Scholarship

On Sunday, April 3, Skyline Lanes in Decorah held a fundraiser for the Karter Einck Memorial Scholarship. The event saw 492 bowlers compete in at least one game, although even more people attended just to donate. Local businesses T-Bocks, Culver’s, Perry Novak Electric, Letterwerks, Games XP and Hammel Jewelers donated a penny per pin, raising $511 per business for the 51,112 pins knocked over that afternoon, totaling $3,066 between the six of them. Additionally, free will cash and check donations brought in almost $9,000, and raffle proceeds totaled almost $4,500. In total, the event raised $16,485.18 for the memorial scholarship.
Skyline Lanes thanks all who attended and each business that donated in support of the Karter Einck Memorial Scholarship.
