Collaboration Excellence Award nominees welcome

By Roz Weis,

The “Exellence in Collaboration Award” is new and the nomination form is now available. This award was developed by the Decorah Area Chamber and Luther College to specifically recognize and celebrate excellence in collaboration between the college and the Decorah community.

The award is designed to recognize an individual or team demonstrating successful cooperation, collaboration, or innovation to positively impact quality of life for campus and community. Award committee members said the recipient may have worked on a specific project, event, or initiative that ultimately benefits campus life, community vibrancy, health and wellness, open communication, or local economy.

Individuals, businesses, organizations, and college departments/teams are all eligible. There is no cost to nominate and self-nomination is allowed. The award recipient will be recognized in a press release from Luther College, in a press release from the Decorah Area Chamber, and in-person as part of the annual Luther Luncheon event. TheĀ nomination form is available on the Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce website. Each year, one award will be given, with the inaugural award being presented at the Luther Luncheon on January 22nd 2024. The award nomination form is open from June 8, 2023 to Nov. 1, 2023.
