The A&W and Long John Silver’s in Cresco is announcing a change for the community. After 20 years as a co-branded restaurant, A&W will be operating as an individual brand.

As of Monday, May 1, Long John Silver’s will no longer be available and A&W will begin their gradual reimage by remodeling the dining room and drive thru to reflect the change.

“You can expect to see blend of a retro and modern design to reimage under A&W,” said owner Wayne Mashek.

A&W will be open drive-thru only May 1-2 as the remodel takes place. They will be closed May 3 to install a new register system with brand new digital menu boards and May 4 they will begin as the solely-branded A&W.

“We will also be returning a few of our hometown favorites such as, the Spicy Papa Burger, BBQ Bacon Crunch Sandwich and Chicken Sliders,” Mashek continued. “While also adding new menu items such as our Pub Style Cod and Shrimp Combos, Cod Sliders and Lemonade Shakes.”

Stop over and see the brand-new changes and make sure to ring the bell on the way out.
