The Decorah Chorale will present a spring concert Sunday, May 1 at Decorah Lutheran Church.

The Decorah Chorale will present a spring concert Sunday, May 1 at 3 p.m. at Decorah Lutheran Church.

The concert program, titled “On Our Way,” is broken into two parts: “See Again” and “Strength.” Repertoire contains themes of acknowledging beauty around us, renewal, and recognizing strength in community and connection. Composers featured will be Hailstork, Copland, Stroope, Dello Joio, Jennings, Barnum, Hagenberg, Barnwell and Kirchner.A free-will offering will be taken.

The Decorah Chorale is an adult mixed choral ensemble with members from Decorah and six surrounding Iowa and Minnesota communities. The group rehearses Sunday evenings beginning in late August and continuing through April, with several weeks off around the holidays.
