Decorah named Iowa Cultural & Entertainment District

The state of Iowa has officially announced the Iowa Great Places redesignation as well as the newly designated Iowa Cultural & Entertainment Districts of which now Decorah is one.  There are only 18 Cultural & Entertainment Districts in the State of Iowa including the only two that were added this year – Decorah and Burlington. To receive the designation, the community must demonstrate walkability, exceptional vibrancy, a robust arts and culture scene, and an established entertainment portfolio. The designation lasts for 10 years and requires an annual report submission.
