Drinking Water Protection meeting June 27

The best way to assure economical, high-quality drinking water at the tap is to protect local water sources. The Decorah Drinking Water Protection Planning Team was formed in 2022 to enhance the public’s precious drinking water supply through viable assessments and strategic planning efforts.

The Team invites local businesses, residents, and the public to attend an informational presentation on Tuesday, June 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the public meeting room in the basement of the Decorah Public Library (202 Winnebago Street). Greg Brennan, Hydrogeologist with the Iowa Geological Survey, will present the 2023 Decorah Water Resources Investigation Report, specific to the area that produces Decorah’s source water.
