Law enforcement officials say there is no safety concern following response

According to an official release Wednesday afternoon, the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office and the Decorah Police Department responded to a reported situation that possibly involved St. Benedict School and WinnMed in Decorah.

Precautionary and safety measures were taken by St. Benedict School and WinnMed. Law Enforcement investigated the report, and there is no ongoing safety concern to the public.

Officials said there will be no other information released regarding this situation.
