Matt Sweeney Memorial Ride makes donation to Veterans Memorial Hospital EMS

Members of the Matt Sweeney Memorial Ride committee recently made a donation to the Veterans Memorial Health Care Foundation for the Emergency Medical Services Department at Veterans Memorial Hospital. 

These funds were raised at the Matt Sweeney Memorial Ride held Aug. 6, 2023. 

Paramedic and EMS Manager Jacob Dougherty shared his appreciation of these funds by stating, “These funds received by our group of dedicated EMS providers here at Veterans Memorial Hospital will be carefully utilized in a meaningful way in a goal of enhancing the services we provide our community.”

Donations were also given to the Ronald McDonald House charities and local individual community members, with plans to continue the event due to the large showing of support that the family has received. 

The next ride is planned for Sunday,  Aug. 4, 2024.
