Oneota Valley Orchestra to present two concerts

Oneota Valley Community Orchestra presents "Bel Canto" Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 8 at 3 p.m. at the DHS auditorium.

The Oneota Valley Community Orchestra, directed by Matthew Cody, presents “Bel Canto” on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 7 and 8.

Concerts are at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 pm. Sunday. Both performances are at the Decorah High Shcool (DHS) Auditorium.

Bel Canto – “beautiful singing” in Italian – is a program of famous opera ariaswith professional vocal soloists. The concert will feature sopranos Diana Stoic and Rachel Storlie, tenor Drew Duncan, baritone John Moore, and bass-baritone Dan Richardson. The artists will be highlighted in notable arias, duets, and trios from Puccini’s La Bohème, Gounod’s Faust, Bizet’s Carmen, Rossini’s Barber of Seville, and more.
