Ossian Lutheran Church will host a drive through cook-out conducted by the Winneshiek County Cattlemen Thursday, May 20, 4:30 to 7 p.m. Meals may be picked up in the church parking lot. A delivery option is available for those who order by Wednesday, May 19 as well. Those desiring delivery should call (563) 380-4461.
Event organizers Dianne Ameling and Beth Holthaus noted that “you can choose from one-third point patties of deliciousness in a cheeseburger, or everyone’s all-time favorite – the ribeye steak sandwich. Tasty sides include cowboy style baked beans and Mom’s Homemade Sweet Treats. Now’s the time to kick off those boots, get on the flip flops and get the summer started.”
Tickets may be purchased at the door. The burger meal is $10; the ribeye meal is $12. The church is located at 305 Jessie Street on the south edge of Ossian, off W42 next to Silver Springs Golf Course. Matching funds have been applied for through Thrivent.
