Pulpit to Pulpit run/walk gets moving to benefit local organizations

Pulpit to Pulpit 5K and 1-mile run/walk fundraiser will be held in Decorah on Saturday, July 3.

Pulpit to Pulpit 5K and 1-mile run/walk fundraiser will be held in Decorah on Saturday, July 3. The event begins at 8 a.m. and includes both a professionally timed 5K race and an untimed one-mile fun run/walk.
Both races start and end on Fifth Avenue between Pulpit Rock Brewing Co. and Carl Selland Wayside Park. Both the 5K and one-mile routes will stay on paved streets and sidewalks, making this an accessible event for the entire community. Participants are encouraged to walk or bike to the start line. Fifth Avenue will be closed to cars and parking near the start and finish area will be limited.
Early registrations are strongly encouraged. Participants will receive a Pulpit to Pulpit T-shirt, while supplies last. For details including entry fees, maps and to register visit tinyurl.com/Pulpit2Pulpit. More information is available on Facebook at Pulpit Rock Brewing under “events.” The Pulpit to Pulpit event will follow all directed health measures at the time of the event.
Pulpit Rock Brewing Co. will offer limited-edition cans of Pulpit to Pulpit Pale Ale in honor of the event. The label will feature the artwork designed for the event. For each beer sold, Pulpit Rock Brewing Co. will donate one dollar to the Decorah-based charitable recipients of the run/walk fund-raiser ArtHaus and Decorah Human Powered Trails.
