Decorah Police
Decorah Police received a call for service to Walmart for a shoplifting incident Oct. 5 at 10:17 p.m. Officers spoke with Walmart Asset Protection, and the suspect in the incident Subsequently, Francisca Demetrio Garcia, 45, of Postville, was given a summons to appear for theft, 5th degree, and released to her husband. Decorah Police Department was assisted by Winneshiek County Dispatch in the incident.
Decorah Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Iowa Highway 9 and Old Stage Road Sept. 30 at approximately 12:14 a.m. After further investigation, it was determined the driver was operating while under the influence. Subsequently, Lynn Roger Henning, 53, of Decorah, was placed under arrest for operating while under the influence (OWI), 1st offense. Henning was transported to Winneshiek County Jail without incident. Decorah Police Department was assisted by Winneshiek County Dispatch and Winneshiek County Jail staff in the incident.
Decorah Police Officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Water Street/College Drive Sept. 17 at approximately 2:12 a.m. Upon further investigation, Officers determined the driver to be operating while under the influence. Officers collected evidence from the driver to be sent to the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation Laboratory for chemical testing. The driver was transported to her residence and released, at that time. On Sept. 29 at approximately 7 p.m. the officers working this case received the results of the chemical testing. Subsequently, on Sept. 30, Carlee Marie Meyer, 32, of Decorah was given a summons to appear for operating while under the influence (OWI), 1st offense. Meyer was released from the Law Enforcement Center after speaking with officers and receiving her paperwork. Decorah Police Department was assisted by Winneshiek County Dispatch with this incident.
