While incarcerated in the Winneshiek County Jail on Feb. 6, Alisha Colsch, 27, of Ossian, was served with two arrest warrants for violation of pre-trial supervision.
As part of an ongoing investigation by the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Springwater Road in rural Winneshiek County on Jan. 23, 2023. Subsequently on Feb. 6, Cory Folstad, 51, of Decorah, was arrested and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail on an arrest warrant for two counts D felony sexual exploitation of a minor and four counts aggravated misdemeanor purchase/possess depiction of minor in a sex act. This remains an open and active investigation with additional charges and arrests pending on other occupants of the residence.

Decorah Police
Decorah Police responded to a three-vehicle accident Jan. 26 at 7:22 a.m. on Highway 52 and Madison Road. After investigation, it was determined that Daniel O’Brien, 65, of Ridgeway attempted to cross eastbound across Highway 52 in his 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, when he was struck on the driver’s side door by a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by 60-year-old Bradley Peterson of Decorah, who was southbound on Highway 52. The two vehicles than slid into a 2005 Toyota Tundra driven by Monte Wieseler, 53, of Decorah. Wieseler was stopped at the stop sign at Pulpit Rock Road and Highway 52. Peterson was transported to the Winneshiek County Emergency Room. O’Brien was given a citation for failure to yield upon entering a through highway.  Decorah Police were assisted at the scene by the Iowa State Patrol, Decorah Fire Department, Winneshiek County ambulance, Don’s Towing, and several citizens.
