Chad Franzen, 50, of Decorah, was arrested Aug. 25 on County Road W42, Decorah, and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail for D felony intimidation with a dangerous weapon.

Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of an accident Aug. 27 on U.S. Highway 52 N. Jeanette Miller, 85, of Ossian, was cited for failure to yield upon entering roadway. Gerson Hipolto Tetlactle, 23, of Pulaski, Wis., was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability and no valid driver’s license. Both vehicles sustained $3,000 in damages. Investigating officers reported Miller’s vehicle stopped on Lydia Street and did not see the other vehicle approaching westbound. Miller entered the roadway and the two vehicles collided.

Brandon Kimber, 24, of Cresco, was arrested in Howard County Aug. 28 and transported to the Winneshiek County Jail on an arrest warrant for violation of parole.

Alberto Nunez Garcia, 21, of Postville, was arrested Aug. 26, and booked into the Winneshiek County Jail on an arrest warrant for failure to appear. While incarcerated in the jail, he was also served an arrest warrant from Howard County for failure to appear.
