Faced with the challenge of making up “snow days”, the Decorah Community School District (DCSD) Board of Directors approved a revised calendar at their meeting Monday night – moving the last day of school for students to Thursday, June 1.

There have been three recent additional “snow days” and one day of missed classes when the Viking Girls Basketball Team went to the state tournament in Des Moines.

After considerable discussion at Monday night’s meeting, Board members voted to add 10 minutes to the start of school in the mornings for high school students starting April 3. That action will make up some days and will move the last day of school to June 1.
