The Decorah Genealogy Association tasked with collecting all the names of Winneshiek County Veterans for the new Veterans monument needs the public’s help.
“The Seniors Hospitality Center will host guest speaker Genealogist Midge Kjome, Decorah Genealogy Association, and learn about the association’s role in the Winneshiek County Veterans Memorial at our November program (Friday, Nov. 12),” shared Program Chair Gerry Sorenson.
The Decorah Genealogy Association plays a pivotal role in the new Winneshiek County Veterans Memorial. It needs the community’s aid to ensure all Winneshiek County Veterans are listed on the monument. The monument will be installed at the Mary Christopher Park on East Water Street in Decorah. Participants are encouraged to invite a friend to join them at the Seniors Hospitality Center, 806 River Street, Decorah.
The Center hosts guest speakers on the second Friday of every month at 1:30 p.m.
