Small appliance, electronics recycling event this Saturday

World Cleanup Day is Saturday, Sept. 16, and Winneshiek County Conservation and Winneshiek County Recycling will be hosting an electronic waste collection event next to Decorah Farmers Market from 8 to 11 a.m., where residents can drop off small appliance and electronic waste items for recycling. There will be a trailer parked in the 48-hour municipal parking lot next to the recycling bins.

See the list below for items accepted for drop off. Or visit the “What Do I Do With…” page at www.winneshiekwaste.com to see more acceptable examples.

Electronics can also be brought to the recycling center during business hours Monday through Friday, but this event is a chance to dispose of these items on a weekend. Those bringing an electronic to the recycling center during business hours, please speak with staff drop off. Email wildrecycling@winneshiekwild.com or call Winneshiek County Recycling at 563-382-6514 with questions.
