St. Ben’s students excel at National History Day

St. Benedict School was represented by 41 sixth-eighth grade students to the regional National History Day (NHD) competition on Tuesday, March 19, at Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC), and many of those students advanced to the state contest.
Twenty-three students were chosen to compete at the state competition which will be held April 29 in Des Moines. The theme for this year’s competition was: “Turning Points in History”.

Dawson Irons- Ind. Exhibit- The Rise and Fall of Prohibition
Bennett Coppola- Ind. Documentary- Unveiling a Turning Point in WW 1: The Impact of the Zimmermann Telegram
