Brian Fitzgerald and Marty McCormack, collectively known as Switchback, will perform Friday, July 21 at TJ Hunters, Lansing. Joining the event is percussionist Nick Hirka of Decorah.
This event marks the band’s first local performance since 2019.
Advance tickets are at www.waygoodmusic.com, on-site at Carquest Auto Parts and Riverland Expressions, Lansing; Village Farm & Home, Waukon; and Oneota Community Co-op, Decorah.
Fitzgerald and McCormack have termed the event the “Switchback Family Reunion” in homage to the inspiration, friendship, and relationships they’ve built in northeast Iowa in the past nearly-30 years. The duo became a familiar fixture on the tri-state area music scene due to the Fitzgerald family’s relocation to Lansing mid-1990s.
“There’s nothing like the Driftless,” note these Chicago-area natives. “Our fans here are our family.”
