VA Outpatient Clinic site plan unanimously approved with contingencies

By Denise Lana,

Contingencies are: 1. The applicant is not the owner; 2. . . . .

The Decorah City Council approved the site plan with contingencies Tuesday, Jan. 17, for a proposed VA Clinic to be built north and west of the Country Inn & Suites.
Contingencies are:
1. The applicant is not the owner; 2. The site plan needs to reflect parking stalls for a minimum of four bicycles; 3.  The east driveway and southwest corner of the parking lot need a variance since they are within the 15-foot setback from the right-of-way; 4. Streetlights are required along the proposed street extension; 5. A submitted stormwater management plan and partial hardship waiver need to be approved.
The developer of the site has requested a Tax Increment Financing reimbursement for city street extension, which is being reviewed by Decorah City Council and staff.
