Welcome Friends & Neighbors Community Picnic Sept. 10

The annual Welcome Friends & Neighbors Community Picnic at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is Sunday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This free family-friendly picnic is an opportunity for the congregation to thank and celebrate its friends, neighbors and community.

The picnic will feature a potluck provided by members of the congregation as well as sloppy joes, hot dogs and gluten free options. Beverages, cutlery and paper products provided. Live music will be performed by the Good Shepherd Band and Slim Whimsy, and there will be kids’ games and activities. Attendees are also invited to view the results of Good Shepherd’s Carbon Neutral Initiative. 

A new courtyard with a pergola and solar canopy will provide shelter from the elements. In the event of heavy rainfall, the picnic will be in the Fellowship Hall. 

All facilities are ADA accessible. The church is located at 701 Iowa Avenue, Decorah.
