Winneshiek County Community Foundation hosts grant application workshop Nov. 29

The Winneshiek County Community Foundation (WCCF) will host a public grant application workshop Nov. 29 via Zoom. The 2022 WCCF grant application deadline is. Jan. 10, 2022.

The Winneshiek County Community Foundation (WCCF), an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, will host a public grant applicant workshop Monday, Nov. 29, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. virtually via Zoom. Individuals, especially those interested in applying for a grant, are encouraged to attend the workshop and should RSVP online at www.cfneia.org/winneshiek-workshop to obtain login details.

During the workshop, members of the WCCF committee will review any changes to the grant guidelines, budget template, and the application, in addition to answering questions. Workshop attendees will also hear from Dotti Thompson, program manager for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa.

The 2022 WCCF grant application opens on Monday, Nov. 15, with a deadline to submit applications by 5 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2022. The online grant application will be available on the WCCF’s website at www.winneshiekccf.org. Grants may be awarded to projects in the areas of arts and culture, community betterment, education and youth development, environment and animal welfare, health, and human service.Grants are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government entities. Tax-exempt organizations classified as other than 501(c)(3) are also eligible, if and only if, the project is deemed charitable; please contact Dotti Thompson at 319-243-1358 or dthompson@cfneia.org to discuss the project’s eligibility prior to submitting a proposal. Grants selections are made in an effort to create a better quality of life for people in Winneshiek County. A local governing committee reviews the applications from charitable organizations serving their community.
