Annette R. Bigart, 85, of Sumner and formerly of Sun City, Calif., died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at Cobblestone Court Assisted Living in Sumner.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, at Becker & Son Funeral Home in Sumner with Deacon Mike Schemmel officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in California. Annette Rose, daughter of George and Mary (Basile) Barbato was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Chicago, Illi. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Faith. Annette received her education in the Chicago Schools, graduating from High School in Chicago. She married Dale Kleiner, Sr. and to this union a son was born, Dale, Jr. The couple later divorced. Annette worked in the banking industry for many years in Chicago, retiring from Countryside Bank in Mt. Prospect as Vice President. On May 25, 1986, she was united in marriage with Robert Bigart in Streamwood, Illi. The couple moved to Summerfield, Fla., and spent 12 years there, prior to moving to Sun Meadows in Sun City, Calif.
The couple did everything together and enjoyed each other’s company immensely. Annette was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed ceramics, swimming, and loved being around and interacting with people. Following Robert’s death in 2019, Annette moved to Cobblestone Court in 2020, to be closer to family.
Annette is survived by her son, Dale, Jr. (Melanie) Kleiner of Calmar; two grandchildren, Katie (Jason) Rich of Fredericksburg and David (Lianne) Kleiner of Northfield, Minn.; eight great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Robert (Tisa) Bigart of Highland, California and James Bigart of California; step-granddaughter, Amanda Bigart; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Kristin; brother, Joseph Barbato; and stepson, Jeffrey Bigart.
