ARLENE FADNESS, 81, of Decorah, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at the Aase Haugen Nursing Home in Decorah. Funeral services are at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 28, at the Hauge Lutheran Church, 3147 Middle Hesper Road, rural Decorah, with Rev. Richard Simon Hanson presiding. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, and also after 10 a.m. at the church Saturday. The Schluter-Balik Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Arlene is survived by her three children: Roger Fadness, Waynesboro, Pa.; Ruth (Rick) Jones, La Crosse, Wis.; and Ron (Marcy) Fadness, Decorah; seven grandchildren: Luke Fadness, Brooke Fadness, Teagan Fadness, Hannah (Dave) Edwards, Katherine (Travis) Heidelberg, Laurel Fadness and Erick Fadness; six great-grandchildren: Elijah Fadness, Ezekiel Fadness, Hildie Edwards, Dahlia Edwards, Kai Heidelberg and Aurelia Heidelberg; brothers, Dean (Elaine) Yarwood, Kansas City, Mo. and Curtis (Phyllis) Yarwood, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister-in-law, Belva Fadness, Decorah; along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
