Barbara W. Street, 80, of Rockford, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015.
She was born May 8, 1935, in La Crosse, Wis., the daughter of Christian and Marie (Ovre) Walhus. She married Douglas R. Street March 31, 1956, in Hesper. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She loved spending time with family, enjoyed cooking, was an avid letter writer and she made quilts for missions.
Survivors include her husband, Doug; daughters, Roxane Sinclair and Greta (John) Henry, V; grandchildren: Lacey Sinclair and Jesse Sinclair, Brenna (Jason) Wade and John Henry, VI; great-grandchildren: Quincy Cook, Zavier Sinclair, Lamar Sims, Justice Sinclair and Major Sims.
She was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1829 North Rockton Ave. Memorial visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 5, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
