CATHERINE PHILLIPS, 76, of Decorah, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis. Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Burr Oak Lutheran Church in Burr Oak, with Rev. Matt Larson officiating. Inurnment is in Bluffton Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Lyle Phillips of Decorah; daughters: Belinda Wendell of Silvis, Ill., Mary (Daniel) Jaeger of Cuba City, Wis. and Dawn (Joseph) Ruff of Dubuque; son, John (Colleen) Finger of Postville; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Heater of Moline, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Earl; a brother, Edward Earl; a sister, Lois Klankey; and a granddaughter, Andrea Bellmann.
