Cleon Hageman, age 91 of Calmar, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 at the Ossian Senior Hospice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar with Rev. Robert Gross presiding. Burial will be in the St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday morning at the church. Cleon was born Oct. 25, 1929 near Ossian, IA. to Edward and Emma (Holthaus) Timp. Cleon attended St Francis DeSales Catholic School. On April 28,1953 she married Ermin Hageman at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Ossian. They farmed near Calmar until moving to town in 1991. Cleon was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar, Catholic Daughters of America and South Winn Country Club. She enjoyed playing golf, cards, reading and puzzles. She also enjoyed collecting plates and angels. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cleon is survived by her daughters: Karen Dallenbach, Decorah, IA; Kathy (Alan) Johnson, Postville, IA; Kris (Leonard Panos Jr.) Lowery, Decorah, IA; and Kim (Randy) Tieskoetter, Ossian, IA. Son-in-law: Don Steffans, Decorah, IA. Grandchildren: Jenny (Levi) Helbling, Michele (Cory) Huinker, Amanda (Jess) Peterson, Melissa (Chad) Moeller, Mike (April) Steffans, Bryan (Hannah) Lowery, Cory (Jeanne) Lowery, Jason (Emily) Tieskoetter, Corey (Cassie) Tieskoetter, Kyle (Erin) Tieskoetter, Kayla (Tyler) Fletcher. Great grandchildren: Addy and Liam Helbling; Taylor and Brady Peterson; Cody and Megan Huinker; Amber and Jade Moeller; Brooke, Delaney and Landon Steffans; Nicholas, Michael, Bristol and Collins Lowery; Nolan, Kellen, Aubrey, Gracie, Tate, Nash, Reese and Quinn Tieskoetter; Nora and Lucy Fletcher. Sisters-in-law: Pat Hageman, Vera Kriener, Delores Kuennen, Lucille Kruse, Sister Joan Hageman FSPA. Brother-in-law: Victor (Elaine) Hageman.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ermin Hageman in 2001. Daughter: Karla Steffans. Parents: Edward and Emma (Holthaus) Timp. Sons-in-law: Randy Dallenbach and Dave Lowery. Sisters: Audrey Timp, Marlyn (Jim) Willson. Father and mother-in-law: Nick and Rosalia Hageman. Sisters-in-law: Florentina Hageman, Rita (Ervin) Wenthold. Brothers-in-law: Quentin Hageman, Edwin Hageman, Greg Kriener, John Kruse and Norbert Kuennen.
