Coralynn E. Sobolik, 22 months, of New Hampton, died Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, surrounded by her family, at Mayo Clinic Hospital – St Marys Campus. A prayer service was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, with Deacon Jim Zajicek officiating. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery Schley. Visitation was Friday, April 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco, and will continue at the church for one hour prior to the service Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Cora’s Benefit.

Coralynn Eve Sobolik was born in Decorah on July 18, 2017, daughter of Paul and Meagan (Novotny) Sobolik. She was little sister to Maycee and Oliver.

Coralynn was a loving little girl, who liked to give out kisses, and had an infectious laugh. She enjoyed watching for the school bus, often asking “Where’s Sissy?”

Coralynn had a mischievous side, too. She was known to steal her big sister’s Barbie dolls, and pour out Lucky Charms for the marshmallows. Coralynn loved being outside blowing bubbles and chasing kitties and puppies. She liked bubble baths, wearing her boots (or anyone’s shoes she could fit in), and listening to “Baby Shark” doo doo … Some of Coralynn’s favorite foods were popsicles, green beans, pickles and putting raspberries on her fingertips then eating them off.

Even though Coralynn was so young, she made a huge impact on the world. Coralynn was able to donate her heart and save a one year-old little boy; her liver saved a one year-old little girl; and her kidneys went to help a 41 year-old lady.

Coralynn is survived by her parents, Paul and Meagan Sobolik; big sister, Maycee; big brother, Oliver; paternal grandmother, Becky Dunn; paternal grandfather, Larry (Denise) Sobolik; maternal grandparents, Randy and Pamela Novotny; paternal great-grandparents, Art and Bev Bina; aunt, Melissa (Brad) Brevig and their children (Coralynn’s cousins) Madison, Kylie and Emmalee; uncle, Michael Novotny; aunt, Nancy Sobolik; and many great-aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Jim Dunn; paternal great-grandparents, Donald Sobolik and Nancy Sobolik; maternal great-grandparents, Virginia Madden and Ernie and Helen Novotny; maternal great-uncles: Mike Novotny, Thomas Madden and Bob Madden.
