Dana Dee Glock

Dana Dee Glock, 66, of US 17 North, South Mills, N.C., died May 13, 2018, at her residence. There will be a private burial in August.

She was born in Decorah June 8, 1951, to Erwin Carl Glock and the late Constance Arlene McLane Glock. Dana was a cardiothoracic surgeon and researcher for the University of Chicago Research Pharmacology Department. She co-authored five research papers on the work they accomplished.

She is survived by her son, Ryan Walter Emlund of Florida; her father, Erwin Glock; her brothers: Kim Glock and wife Mary, Jan “Doc” Glock and wife Helen, Kerry Glock and wife Shelly, Christopher Glock and wife Cindy; and dear cousin, David Rast and wife Connie; along with many nieces and nephews.

Dana wasn’t just a sister or a daughter, she was our friend. It is said that you only live as long as someone remembers you. Dana will be remembered as a loved one lost and a loved one found. She has gone on ahead to prepare a place for us. Our final home, with Mom and our loved ones. Vaya con Dios. Go with God, Dana.
