DAVID L. OTTESEN, 78, of Decorah, died Wednesday morning, May 20, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Mary’s Campus in Rochester, Minn. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Madison Lutheran Church in rural Ridgeway. Burial is in Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah and Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m., one hour before the service, at Madison Lutheran Church. Dave is survived by his wife, Sarah; his children: Cindy and Bill Crandall of Suttons Bay, Mich., Tammy and Gerry Vrzak of Lawler, Jackie and Duane Novotny of Ft. Atkinson, Julie Snitker and finance Dave Sacquitne of Decorah, Jay Graves of Decorah, Joel and Joyce Graves of Mable, Minn.; his grandchildren: Ashley and Nick Darga, Alex and Hedai Horak, Jordan and Brooke Crandall, Hailey, Braiden and Austin Verzak, Allison, Ben and Taylor Novotny, Ryan and Adam Snitker, Staci Lammers, Danielle and Courtney Graves; two great-grandchildren, Taya Snitker and Ashlyn Smith; his brother, Kenneth and Janet Ottesen; his brother- and sister-in-laws: Kay Reagan, Marvin Hovden, Donald and Ina Hovden, Mary and Hubie Teslow, Dorothy and Larry Brooks, Kate Hovden, Georgiann and DuWayne Schweinefus, Jan Helgeson, Bill Keck and Linda and Dennis DeBuhr.
