DONALD E. “DOC” MOORE, D.V.M., 96, of Decorah, died Saturday evening, March 25, 2017, at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah. Doc’s wish was to donate his body to the University of Iowa, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Deeded Body Program, for educational and research purposes. Memorial services are at 11 a.m. Friday, April 7, at First Lutheran Church in Decorah, with Rev. Chad Huebner officiating. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Friday, April 7, one hour before the service, at First Lutheran Church. Doc is survived by his four children: Elizabeth Porter of Austin, Texas, David (Nancy) Moore of Edina, Minn., Martha (Kurt) Aschim of Marinette, Wis. and Janet (Greg) Evans of Scottsdale, Ariz.; nine grandchildren: Katherine Porter, Jacob Porter (Sarah Pontoski), Emily Porter (Ryan Morrissey), Samuel Moore, William Moore, Ellen (Josue) Trelles, Annie (Read) McKendree, Hans Aschim, Natalie (Daniel) Parkman; and 12 great-grandchildren.
