Jane Rogers

Jane Rogers, 76, of Dubuque, formerly of Mason City, passed away Nov. 18, 2015, at Unity Point Health, Finley Hospital. The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Dubuque, with burial following in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Dubuque. Family and friends gathered after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home until time of service.

Jane was born April 1, 1939, the daughter of Ralph and Marie (Odor) Maddox. She was a dance instructor since she was 13 years old, teaching in Laurens, Mason City and the Great Lakes area. She loved to sew and designed costumes for her recitals. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed all the family pets.

She is survived by her children: Neal (Kim) Cooksey, of Spencer, Natalie (Dan) Dubbert, of Parkville, Kansas City, Mo., Nancy (Linda) Rogers, of Dubuque, Nanette (Scott) Monkelien, of Stetsonville, Wis. and Nick (Julie) Rogers, of Red Wing, Minn.; her siblings, Ellen (Bob) Ethington, of Corvillis, Ore.,and Bill (Jeannie) Maddox, of Norwood, Mo. along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her former husbands Arnie Rogers, and Larry Cooksey.

In lieu of flowers a Jane Rogers memorial fund has been established. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Manor Care for all the care and kindness they gave Jane.
