KALEN JACOBSEN, 45, of Decorah, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. Funeral services are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 7, at the First Lutheran Church, Decorah, with Rev. Melissa Bills presiding. Burial is in the West Union Cemetery, West Union, following the luncheon. Visitation is 3- 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at the First Lutheran Church, Decorah, and also after 10 a.m., at the church Saturday. Kalen is survived by his wife, Kathleen; children: Nolan and Ella; parents, Charles and Dolores Jacobsen of West Union; siblings: Kevin (Linda) of St. Charles, Mo.; Kendall of West Union; Kirk (Dawn) of Clermont; Karen (Victor) Schmitz of West Union; Kerry (Lisa) of Clermont; Kyle of West Union; Kory (Erin) of Ridgeway; mother and Father-in-law, John and Dixie Kleiman, Harpers Ferry; sisters-in-law, Tracy Doerrfeld of Marion and Darcy (Bruce) Marshall, of Mason City. Kalen also is survived by 22 nieces and nephews, and 10 great-nieces and nephews. Kalen was preceded in death by his four grandparents: James and Hazel Jacobsen and Elmer and Cora Anfinson.
