Larry Iverson, age 69, formerly of Decorah passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the Decorah Lutheran Church 309 Winnebago St., with Pastor Peter Kowitz officiating. Burial will be in the Iowa River Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday morning.

Larry Wayne Iverson was born on July 23, 1952, in Decorah, IA the son of Merton and Marcella “Marcy” (Gilbertson) Iverson. He graduated from Decorah High School in 1970. After high school, Larry attended Iowa State University for one year and then Brown Institute in Minneapolis. He went to work for radio stations in Newton and Washington, IA before working many years at Central State University in Edmond, Okla., as their radio engineer. Larry later moved to New Hampton, and worked at TriMark Corp. He was a member of the Decorah Kilties and enjoyed bowling while he was in school. He loved working on his two Ford mustangs.
Larry is survived by his daughter: Audrey (Jeremy) Johnson, Enid, Okla., granddaughters: Bayleigh and Demi; mother: Marcy Iverson of Decorah; sister: Marilyn (Kevin) Klooster of Aplington; brother: Randy (Kari) Iverson, Decorah; aunt: Violet Reetz of Waterloo; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Merton Iverson in 2014.
