Linda Lee Osterhoudt, 66 of Kenyon, Minn. died Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at her lake home. Memorial services are at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, Minn., Friday, Sept. 4, at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend Sarah Nietz, pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Faribault, will officiate. Visitation is at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m., and also for one hour prior to the service Friday.
Linda Lee, the daughter of Glen and DeLoris (Solem) Thornton, was born March 2, 1949, in Decorah. Linda Lee married Marlin “Oz” Osterhoudt May 19, 1971, in Buxton, N.C. She was employed as the manager of Faribo West Mall since 1985. She enjoyed camping, boating, bowling and especially spending time with her family, friends and dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Marlin “Oz”; three daughters: Melissa Jean Osterhoudt of Minneapolis, Angela Christine Osterhoudt of Kenyon, Minn. and Amanda Jo Osterhoudt of Sogn Valley, Minn.; six grandchildren: Dalton, Wren, August, Kayla Jo, Madison and Analise; her parents, Glen and DeLoris Thornton of Decorah; five siblings: Larry (and Loris) Thornton of Shakopee, Minn., Alan (and Tammy) Thornton of Decorah, Denise (and Leonard) Ziech of Merrill, Wis., Lori Vetter of Grimes and Jenny (and Paul) Butler of Decorah; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
