Marcella “Marcy” Manderfield, 72, of Decorah, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Wellington Place in Decorah. Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, with Rev. Dan Knipper officiating. Burial was in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Calmar. Friends called after 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Schluter – Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Avenue in Decorah. Arrangements were handled by Schluter – Balik Funeral Home in Decorah.
Marcella “Marcy” Manderfield was born July 17, 1944, the daughter of Julius and Marie (Schneberger) Manderfield in Decorah. Marcy attended St. Aloysius Catholic Schools, before moving into the Winneshiek County Home (now Wellington Place) at the age of 14. Marcy helped out as she could and enjoyed music, watching TV, visiting with family and friends and all nursing home activities. She enjoyed it when her family would bring her French fries and hamburgers. Marcy was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
Marcy is survived by her three brothers, Jerome Manderfield, Cedar Rapids; twin brothers, Don Manderfield and Ron (Mary) Manderfield, both of Durango; two nieces, Vickie (Chris) Crowley and Charlotte (Dawson) Wolfe; one nephew, Terry Glab; great-nieces and -nephews: Rachel, Logan, Rylan and Larson Crowley, and Ronan Wolfe; along with many cousins.
Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Marie (Schneberger) Manderfield, along with her Manderfield and Schneberger grandparents.
