Marlene C. Kreutzer, 71, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus in Rochester, Minn. The family will greet friends at a Celebration of Life reception Tuesday, May 21, beginning at 3 p.m. at Roscoe’s in Decorah.
Marlene Catherine (Rude) Kreutzer was born Nov. 3, 1947, in Decorah, the daughter of Kenneth and Rita (Brown) Rude.
She was married to Harry Kreutzer. Together they owned and operated Roscoe’s. They loved each other, worked together at the bar and lived together as best friends. They also enjoyed the many longtime patrons they served. She loved her dogs, Roscoe and RJ. Marlene had many friends, family and acquaintances, and will be dearly missed. She will live on in our hearts and memory.
Marlene is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Amit) Dayal and two granddaughters, Laila and Faye, of Elmhurst, Ill.; three sisters: Jackie Rude of Yuma, Ariz., “Pepper” Rude of Decorah and Mary Thompson of Coralville; one nephew, David Wilkenson; three nieces: Jennifer Flottum, JoDee Jevne and Selena Michel; and by Cory Lowery of Decorah, the son that she never had.
