Marvin Phillips, age 81, of Fort Atkinson, died Wednesday, Oct, 7, 2020 at his home in Fort Atkinson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 201 Oak Street, Fort Atkinson, IA, with Rev. Jacob Rouse presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday morning at the church. The Schluter-Balik Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Marvin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice; children: DiAnne (David) Nienhaus, Fort Atkinson; Susie (Kevin) Ronkowski, Fort Atkinson; Julie (Randy) Lenth, Fertile; and Allen Phillips (special friend, Allison), Solon; and also his grandchildren: Alyson (Brandon) Haugen, Nicholas (Jared) Nienhaus, Kristina (Tim) Mansheim, Matt (Chloe) Fjetland, Lucas Fjetland, Jenny (Jeremy) Gomez, Bryan (Jamie) Sloan, Kyle and Seth Phillips; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister: Shirley Klimesh, Spillville; a sister-in-law: Margaret (Serenus) Elsbernd, Fort Atkinson; along with many nieces and nephews.
