Nathan Michael Borreson was born out of love, into love on April 11, 1993, in La Crosse, Wis., to Mark and Michelle (Stortz) Borreson. He passed away at his home on March 24, 2022, from an unexpected accident. He was baptized and confirmed at Big Canoe Lutheran Church. He attended and graduated from Spring Grove Public School in 2011.
On Oct. 11, 2014, he married his high school sweetheart, Ashley (Doely). Together they were blessed with three boys, Brayden (10) and Wyatt (6), and expecting Baby Borreson in June. After graduating high school, he pursued many trades, including working at Alum-Line, construction with his Uncle Mitch (Stortz), and worked with his father-in-law, Allen, at Mathy Construction. His strong work ethic was very evident. He had a passion for fabricating and started his own business, Ironhide Fabrication, in 2018. He was well known for his work in fabricating truck bumpers and his custom design skills on his plasma table. Nathan proudly donated his work to various benefits and banquets. His designs are all around us, never letting us forget his memory.
Nathan was the oldest of five children and loved spending time with his friends and family. He always loved a good project to work on; whether he had business work to do or limited time, you could always find him in the shop. He loved spending time teaching and sharing his love for hunting and fishing with Brayden and Wyatt. Nathan would never turn down a good competitive game of Euchre, volleyball, poker, or a game of bags. He was always down for a good time and the last person to leave. Nathan was free-spirited, lively, and content with life. He was very proud of his beard. He had a wild side but amazing grace. You could find him in a cut-off shirt, shorts, and a pair of boots. He had redneck features but never forgot how he was raised and his faith in God. He loved to recite memories, movies, quotes, and his famous scooby-doo voice, “Ruh-roh raggy!”
Nathan had a gift to gab. Many of us know a quick stop to visit meant a few hours later and a couple of refreshing drinks. Nathan touched many people in his life and will continue to touch those around him through spirit.
Nathan is survived by his wife, Ashley (Doely), his sons, Brayden, Wyatt, and Baby B., his parents, Mark and Michelle (Stortz) Borreson; his siblings; Taylor (Brookelyn) Borreson, Kjersten (Julius) Folstad, Hannah (Jordan Jaster) Borreson, and Hailey Borreson; his grandparents; Bev and Gary Stortz, Glenn and Mary Borreson; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Nathan was preceded in death by his uncle Michael Stortz and cousin Brady Stortz.
Helms Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
