Patricia Ann Kuennen, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, after a brief, courageous battle with colon cancer at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines with her family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 16, 2016 at the St. Luke’s Catholic Church in St. Lucas, IA, with Rev. Nick March presiding, burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Hampton, IA.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the St. Lukes Catholic Church in St. Lucas, and also after 9:30 a.m., at the church on Monday morning.  There will be a rosary at 8p.m., on Sunday evening. Pat is survived by her husband, Wilfred of St. Lucas, IA; Three children: Kelly Kuennen, Johnston, Iowa, Deano and Nancy (Schmitt) Kuennen, Granger, Iowa and Jeno and Monica (Heideman) Kuennen, Urbandale, Iowa.     She has four beautiful grandchildren – Caleb (17), Cade (12), Landen (10) and Maggie (8). Atkinson, IA, Cora (Tom) Lynch, Nashua, IA, Leona (Tim) Bodensteiner, Grinnell, IA, Gaylord Kuennen (Pat Kennedy), St Lucas, IA, Dennis (Janet) Kuennen, St Lucas, IA and Allan (Pam) Kuennen, Cedar Rapids, IA.

The Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah is handling the arrangements.
