Peggie was born in 1948, to John “Harry” and Anne (Aden) Mohr on a farm outside Pomeroy where she attended high school and was a football cheerleaderbefore going to Iowa State. While in Ames, she also worked for 3M.
Peggie later moved to a suburb of St. Paul and worked for a local delivery company. She was a devoted mother to two daughters, Jackie and Robyn, and enjoyed watching movies, doing crafts, pampering her Dachshund and decorating for virtually every holiday. In 1989, Peggie traveled to Pakistan to visit her surviving olderbrother, Tom Mohr, who was working there. She was joined on the trip by her mother, Anne Mohr, who passed away in 2003.
On Sept. 28, 1998, she married Waukon-native Al Krumme, who also survives her.
In 2010, they bought a house outside Decorah, where they enjoyed feeding and watching the wildlife and hostingvisits by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.In retirement, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and shopping at gift andquilting stores in northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota.
She was deeply involved with the Quilts of Valor organization, which seeks to comfort service members and veterans touched by war.
