ROSETTA GUESS, 68, of Calmar, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, Wis. Visitation was from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home, 604 South Ave in Decorah, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Donald Hertges presiding. Burial will be at a later date in the St. Benedicts Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Sue Barrett, Ky. and Tammy (Jamie) Mincks, Calmar; two sons, Henry David Barrett, Ky. and Jimbo (Tonya) Guess, Ky.; along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Loretta Kitchens, Cresco; Carolyn Gammon, Ky.; James (Lisa) Skaggs, Ky.; Nelda Dorman, Ky.; and Janie Bumtes, Ky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mayme (Basham) Skaggs; great-granddaughter, Marianna Guess; former husband, Henry Guess; sisters, Virginia Alvey and Dorothy Williams; brother, Jimbo Skaggs; special friend, Joe Garrison.
