Thomas Daniel Duggan, 78, of Waukon, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. A celebration of life service is at 11 a.m. Friday, June 30, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 109 2nd St. SW, Waukon. Father Mark Osterhaus will officiate. Reception will follow in the church meeting room.
Memorials may be made to he American Congenital Heart Association.
Thomas was born March 11, 1939, in Waukon, to Harriet (Curtin) and Clare Duggan. He graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1957, and then entered the Army. He served for four years in the Korean Conflict. He then attended Loras College, Layton School of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. Following his education, he worked at Chicago Merchandise Mart, designing furniture. He married the former Charlene Bradley in Indianapolis, Ind. He enjoyed his work and the software business he owned later. He retired to Waukon. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren.
Thomas is survived by his son, Sean Duggan; his three granddaughters: Delaney, Reese and Claire; his brothers, Donald Duggan and Michael Duggan; and his sister, Mary Jane Duggan Maly.
