Twelve total athletes from South Winn and Turkey Valley were named to the all-conference list for the Upper Iowa Conference.
Eight from South Winn and four from Turkey Valley were among the league honorees.
First team
Three Warriors were recognized on the first team list — Ethan Luzum, Cael Kuboushek and Keagen Streeter.
It’s the third first team nod for Luzum who went 5-2 on the mound and made 13 pitching performances for South Winn. The senior recorded 82 strikeouts, the most in the UIC, in his 54-1/3 innings on the bump and finished his last campaign with 1.03 earned run average (ERA). He led the Warriors at the plate with a .394 batting average and had a .447 on-base percentage. Luzum had a team high 27 RBI and 43 hits, which included one triple and seven doubles.
Cael Kuboushek was a second-team honoree a year ago and moves to the first team. During his senior campaign, Kuboushek anchored centerfield with 34 put-outs and made 11 appearances on the hill for a 3-1 record with a 3.04 ERA and 23 strikeouts. He hit .388 for the Warriors, driving in 17 runs and had a league-high 33 stolen bases.
Playing a variety of positions, Streeter picks up his first all-UIC nod. The sophomore was seen playing catcher, pitcher and first base this season. He threw out eight would-be players on stolen base attempts from behind the plate and finished with a 4-3 record on the mound with a 2.29 ERA and 63 strikeouts. In the batter’s box, Streeter had a batting average of .265. He harvested 27 hits, including 11 doubles and had 20 RBI.
Second team
Honored with second team selections are Warriors Nick Holien, Logan Hageman and Jordan Buchheit, along with Trojans Garrett Kurtenbach and Noah Hanson.
With five home runs on the season in a tie for the UIC lead, Holien earned his first all-conference honor. He finished his junior season with a .314 batting average with a .562 slugging percentage. Holien was second in hits with 33 to go along with 26 RBI. He also threw 31 innings for the Warriors, collecting 36 strikeouts and a 4-3 record with a 2.46 ERA.
Hitting .327 for his first all-UIC honor was junior Hageman. Playing both right field and catcher, Hageman finished the season tied with Holien in hits and RBI with 33 and 26 RBI respectively to go with 11 stolen bases.
Southpaw Buchheit climbed the hill 15 times for the Warriors and finished his junior campaign with a 5-2 record and a 3.71 ERA with 51 strikeouts recorded. When Buchheit wasn’t pitching, he was found at first base.
Kurtenbach earns his inaugural all-UIC honor for the Trojans after hitting .303 and having a .566 slugging mark. The junior tied with South Winn’s Nick Holien for the most home runs in the conference with five. He had 23 hits on the season and 20 RBI.
Earning his second conference nod on the second team, Hanson led the Trojans with a .355 average. He had a team-high 33 hits and 16 stolen bases. A mainstay behind the plate, Hanson also threw from the hill for TV, with a 2-4 record and 3.92 ERA. He struck out 32 batters in his 25 innings of work.

Anchoring third base, Tigges finished his career with a .247 batting average as a senior and .284 on-base percentage. He knocked out 20 hits and drove in 19 runs for the Warriors.
