Blazek sprints to silver at Starmont

By Becky Walz,

The Turkey Valley cross country teams were back in action Tuesday night at Starmont racing against some top teams in northeast Iowa. Neither the girls’ nor boys’ teams fielded a full team for a score. In the Class 1A varsity team standings it was No. 6 Hudson taking the title over No. 10 Sumner-Fred by a tie-breaker after both girls’ teams finished with 56 points. Hudson also claimed the top spot in the varsity boys’ Class 1A team standings with 74 points.
