Decorah girls tour the course

It was not only a combat with the Cadets, but the cold, windy elements Monday night as the Decorah girls’ golf team hosted Crestwood in a NEIC dual at Silvercrest Golf and Country Club. When the final ball was put in the cup, the Cadets won the meet 239 to 270.

Medalist of the meet was Crestwood’s Cameran Moellers with a 49 on the par 36 course.
“It was cold — however, both teams battled the weather pretty well,” said Coach Scott Pierce.
With a 64, Hope Stahl led the Vikings, while Elora Schnitzer was on her heels with a 67. Ella Carlson carded a 68 with Sophia Fahey rounding out the scorecard with a 71. Shelby Hageman was also on the course and finished the day with an 82.
Decorah will swing the clubs at New Hampton Friday, April 29, at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, the Vikings will host a four-team tournament at Oneota Golf & Country Club with tee-off set for 9 a.m.
