“Decorah’s girls struggled to connect passes again — a recurring, concerning tendency. Work is being done on the practice pitch but doesn’t seem to translate into the game,” said Coach Loren Hendrickson. “Our girls need to take it upon themselves to change how they approach competition. Old habits that we’ve tried to fix keep on showing up in games. We seem to have plateaued and there needs to be a serious effort to get a better mindset when we play the game.  We’ll get back to work and see if we can make those improvements.
GC-GR prevailed in junior varsity action as well 1-0.
The Vikings host Union Thursday, May 5, at 6:30 p.m. Decorah will compete at a tournament at Waverly-Shell Rock Saturday, May 7, at 9 a.m., the hit the road Monday, May 9, to North Fayette Valley for a 5 p.m. match.
